About A Bridge Forward

A Bridge Forward connects transitioning foster youth (ages 18-25) who are homeless or at risk of homelessness with housing, life skills resources, mentorship, and creates opportunities for advocacy and leadership.  Through the support services and housing we build, hope is restored, individuals are empowered, and lives are changed.

In an effort to provide safe, stable housing and other support services, A Bridge Forward helps youth make a successful transition from foster care to independence.

Founded by a public health professional, who has cared deeply for foster kids and has been a foster parent for many years, identifies with the risk of youth aging out of the foster care system. The goal is to serve youth with barriers to self-sufficiency.

"There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the way in which it treats its children" - Nelson Mandela
